Thirty-two students from Methodist College, Hong Kong (MC, or MCKLN) accompanied by two teachers and two trainers had a one-day experiential learning trip in WMSKL(I) on 19 April, 2019 (Friday). These students varied from Year 1 to Year 5 and each student was paired with a Wesleyan buddy providing peer guidance. During this visit, the students were provided with opportunities to experience daily routines of the Wesleyans by kicking off the day with the Chapel worship, attending class, participating in classroom or school activities or outdoor games, and etc. School tour was run for them to learn about the school’s setting, facilities and culture. Likewise, futsal friendly match between WMSKL(I) and MCHK was arranged for upper secondary boys on this event day. Last but not least, all students of Methodist College and Wesleyan student ambassadors were invited to interact with one another during lunch and gift exchange session to close ceremony. Overall, this cultural exchange programme allowed cross-cultural lifelong friendships and communication skills to grow beyond the boundaries.
